Tip for gambling in general but very much applies to Vegas in particular, from a Vegas born and raised. Casinos are just big kid arcades. You go in, spend your money to have a few hours of fun playing games and you go home. If you got lucky you go home with a cool prize, but even if all you got was a jolly rancher and a spider ring (aka a couple free drinks from the pretty cocktail waitress) you still had fun playing the games. So set a budget, go in fully expecting to walk out with none of it left, and play games that are fun to play not games you think you can win money at. The second you start focusing on winnings and what you could do with the money, you're cooked. They got you. And it's gonna ruin your trip (or life if you happen to have that gene in you).

I lived in Las Vegas for 6 months. Had a lot of fun but grew to hate the strip. Also, I don't gamble and just drank alcohol every day. I miss it some time. Go to the mountains.

Tip from Vegas born and raised. If you're not into clubbing/The Strip and want to have a fun bar crawl night with locals then you're looking for East Fremont. But don't stray more than a block or two from the main drag at night. It's a revitalized area and things get a bit dicey pretty quick when you venture off the beaten path. Not as bad as naked city but still not recommended.

Definitely agree about the flip flops. You need a cheap pair for pool/waterpark days, there are tons of Walgreens/CVS on the strip where yoh can grab a pair. The ground is just too hot to be walking around barefoot, I have literally burnt my feet and had them peel from doing that. Never again. Usually people leave their shoes in a semi-organize pile near pool entrances (a lot of the resorts have large pool complexes with multiple pools/features) and if theyre nice people will definitely walk out and put on different shoes than they came in with.

Get that players card if you are going to gamble or spend money in a resort at all, it will help you get more for your money.

Being born and raised in North Las Vegas (Northtown) be careful who you ask for directions. Ask Bus drivers or the front desk of the hotel your staying at.

Dont even look at the damn mini bar. Dont open it. Dont touch it. Dont move it. Nothing. I was charged just for using the refrigerator in my room for some food i bought early in the day

Don't take anything handed to you, you may not want the ESCORT card, or, the bracelet from the Monk, etc..
The later it gets, the closer you should be to your hotel, especially in "questionable" areas.
Don't make too many plans, especially on the day of your arrival, a delay at the airport may mean missing that show/dinner/event.
Wear COMFORTABLE shoes.
Dress in layers during Spring & Fall, cool mornings, hot afternoons & cool evenings/nights.

We vlog a lot when we are in Las Vegas and I noticed when we have our camera or even our phones out filming that no one bothers us because they don’t want their actions recorded. It’s a great way to walk Las Vegas in peace. 😉

Don’t leave ANYTHING by the pool or on your lounge chair. Been stolen from so many times over the years. There are people who go to the pools just to steal. If you have a cabana, use the safe! I had someone rummage thru my purse in the cabana once.

As a teenager who lives in Vegas it absolutely SUCKS there is hardly anything for teenagers to do with their friends, so I’m mostly stuck at home. There’s only stuff for adults to do and that is so annoying can’t some teenagers do something other than go to the park and even though we go to the park there’s always weirdos there. 💔✌️

Naked city is not that bad. It's just old. Real old. Alot more dangerous neighborhoods then that. Boulder highway is way more dangerous than naked city. I know I'm a native.
