Plato's Cave (A level OCR Religious Studies)

Plato explains his distinction between the Realm of Appearances and the Realm of the Forms with the use of an analogy - a cave, in which prisoners are trapped. Seeing only shadows, they believe that shadows constitute the whole of reality. Here, we'll explore what happens when one of these prisoners is set free, and what it means for Plato's Epistemology.
