GE Refrigerator (Reset Ice Maker)

Shut OFF switch wait 1 min turn back on push ice pedal in three times in that order.

Thank you so much, Randy, you just saved me a service call, repair & labor charge. The winter storm knocked out our electricity for a while here in RGV Texas, the ice maker quit, we even started buying ice. I scheduled an appointment with GE, then a voice in my head (my son, Adam's voice) Momma, always reboot and trouble shoot! I got on YouTube and found you. I woke up to fresh ice cubes, I am so happy! I cancelled the appointment with GE~~~ 2/27/2021 <3

Thanks.. this saved us some dollars.. I figured the ice maker switch was turned off.. I did not know where it was located.. this video helped me locate the switch. We bought a new home and have exact this model at the new home..

He did say the arms weren’t at home and the ice makers were bad. $100 gone! 😡 found this video a few minutes after he left and hour later moth makers are making ice. Thanks a bunch. Just used your instructions to reset a GE ice maker that wouldn't make cubed ice, only crushed ice. Simple fix!

I just replaced the ice maker in my GE frig with a new one. The ice maker is the type with a reset button and the arm goes up and down, not side to side. Do you know how to get this one going as well?

Hi there, this video was from 2013, I was wondering if you still have the same refrigerator? Mine looks very similar, I currently have an issue with the water dispenser. It only spits out 2 Tbs of water each time. I replaced the filter, it still didn't make a difference. Have you had this issue before?

Isnt the idea to show how to repair instead of tossing out the entire fridge? The reset is fine but was wondering why I would call a repair man if there is a better way to fix it myself. On to other videos...
