We have used this John Deere SB1174P pull-type snowblower behind our John Deere 4066R for the last winter season. This pull-type snow blower allows us to back up to garages and get close to them without hassle. It also cleans down to the pavement well. It is a joy to drive forward and blow snow.

John Deere makes these in 64" and 74" widths. We added the Hydraulic Adjustable Chute Deflector that gives us 245° Chute Rotation. It comes standard with a manual rotation for open-station tractors. This comes iMatch/Quick Hitch ready for easy attachment to your tractor. It is heavy, which allows it to scrape down the pavement well even after you drive over the snow.

The ability to drive forward and blow snow makes snow blowing an easy task compared to ordinary 3-point snow blowers where you would be moving in reverse to blow snow. I cannot say enough good about this style of snowblower!

It’ll work for the states that don’t get serious snow…the occasional user type of situation

So you drive on snow beat down snow with tires they try to blow it clean? Not a good design.

That’s not what we call a lot of snow, in Colorado. We don’t plow unless we have 4” or more. But I like the idea of driving forward!

I'm going to talk stupid now, my old ford is slow slow slow, but only one gear in reverse, and its fast fast fast, i have a ford jubilee and a 2N, i will never sell them tractors, but they ate slightly useless, but this snow blower would be the hot ticket for them

They are nothing new. The problem with drive ahead snow blowers is that you are very limited in heavy snow. On a rear mounted back up snow blower. Your traction wheels are always working in a freshly plowed path - not in a big snow drift!

Where do you even get one of these. I've googled it and nothing comes up

You're going to have it wore out before you get any snow

Needs a rubber or something. Leaves quite a dirty path

You have a bucket on the front. Use it.

$60k tractor, $6k implement. Yeah, not for your typical homeowner! haha. Cool gear though! Looks like it could tackle a literal s-storm if it had to.

This seems like a really bad design decision.
