NASA conducted a wet flow test in preparation for the first SLS launch from remodeled Pad 39B .
The water deluge helps to reduce the acoustic shock caused by the ignition of four liquid fueled engines and two solid rocket boosters, as well as providing cooling for the pad surface. The 450000 gallon water tank empties in about 20 seconds. The test included firing the Hydrogen Burnoff (HBO) Igniters, sparks can be seen flying above the pad surface.
