Big changes have hit the real estate industry. The way Realtor commissions are going to be paid is changing and now buyers are required to have a signed agreement if they are working with a Realtor. In this video I’m going to explain what these changes are, how it affects buyers, and how to navigate this change. I’ve been getting a lot of questions about this so I’m answering them here.

Thanks for the video. Many people don’t have a grasp on this yet.

we sold our home this year and paid a great deal of money for both commissions.
then we turned around and needed to buy a home in Gainesville.
Prior to the change in the law, the real estate agent that we had a relationship with thrust a contract at us and it was a 9 month contract.
We were majorly insulted.
We ended up contacting the real estate agent showing the home.
we paid their fee of about 350.00
If we do decide to sell again, we will more then likely just go solo.

Who would the realtor selling work for? The buyer or the seller? I'm not a realtor but I don't think this would last long in the industry. Could commissions increase if the realtor could knock of x % of home price?
