I allways wonder why it seems to be impossible to put the price with the taxes included on the product, after all they know how much it is at the checkout.
So if they know it why isn't it possible to put the correct price on the product right away?

In Germany, I can buy contact lenses at any drugstore or optician. I know my diopters and don't need to have them checked every time.
However, my driver's license states that I have to wear suitable visual aids when driving.
In Germany, I have only seen Free Refill at the well-known Fastfoot chains (MD, BK, KFC).

The thing of the doctor prescription for contact lenses, I suspect it's like almost anything regarding health in the USA: money!

Free refills of soda are extremely common in Finland

Fun fact: Czech people invented contact lenses, I just randomly heard about them in the video and was like "Yes, that was my country" xD

This always blows my mind when an european says they've never seen free refills in europe. For example in Zlín city in Czech Republic you can get free refills in certain fast foods, it is uncommon here but it certainly exists in various places.

New York has lots of streets with bike lanes. They make it pretty easy to get around most of the city using a bike or scooter.

As the presenter says, the major difference between American soft drinks and other countries in terms of flavour, is that US drinks mostly contain high-fructose corn syrup to sweeten them, while other countries use cane sugar. That also applies to most 'candy bars' and even so to non-yanks, American sweets taste weird. But then there's the amount of sugar in different foods.... like which is really sweet in the US. Even the french fries are often really sweet in places that coat them with dextrose and milk powder; like McDonalds.

Question:
If you get free refill, whats the use of xtra large or super sizing?

another "funfact"; French cheese is forbidden, but guns are not?! Why, not lethal enough??? ;-)

Euh...the shop has a fixed location.

Meaning a fixed tax.

That you would have to enter once per product in your system.

To know the final price.

Also, I don't see how federalization is relevant here.

There are about 25 of those.

24 of them figured it out.

At the end of the day not overly important but the excuses are just so fucking dumb.

Sorry but there's no such thing as a free refill, the cost of the refills are built into the price paid for the first drink.

I think offering tap water is an insult. I would be ashamed to offer somthing like that. Especially since water contains carbonic acid. Everything else is cleaning water or for washing. I dont know anyone in Europe who would voluntarily drink tap water.
