Hey guys, I just wanted to say thank you for your kind words. I'm still coming to terms with what has happened, so I may not reply to each and every comment as usual.
I will be taking some time away from Youtube for a little while, however I have videos that were recorded at the beginning of August, like this one, that are scheduled to go up. So if I sound happy, cheery, my normal self in those videos, that is why. They upload automatically. It felt weird letting this one go up today, but I didn't want to let anyone down.

Firstly, so sad to hear about Ziggy. Losing a pet is never easy but I know she had a wonderful life with you.

Also, a super-sun mega bulb does exist! My vet recommended the ZooMed PowerSun UV bulb for my Diego. It's expensive and has to be replaced each year, but it comes in 3 different wattages, does UVA, UVB, and emits a LOT of heat all from one bulb. The downside is it's not compatible with dimmable fixtures so a thermostat can't be used, but compared to the heat bulbs I was using before, it's been amazing.

for anybody who missed the post or doesn’t have insta: “ I cannot believe I am making this post, but sadly Ziggy has passed away.🥺
All throughout the day yesterday we were periodically checking the geckos because it was very hot. Ziggy was seemingly fast asleep in her cold hide, nothing out of the ordinary in this heat. It wasn’t til I went to give the geckos fresh water in the evening that I realised she hadn’t moved, still looked peacefully asleep in her hide. I then discovered she had passed.
I have absolutely no clue why 😢 I keep thinking what did I do? What did I miss? She’s my youngest Leo, she’s always eating, drinking, going to the toilet, active, alert- as you know I regularly weigh my geckos, I note down every time they eat, what they eat and supplements they have.
I just kept screaming “why? I don’t understand!” 😭 This still doesn’t feel real, I thought I had 20+ years with her.
I didn’t know how to break this news to you, I am struggling to come to terms with this and I can’t physically speak about it atm. I do however in the future want to make a video or acknowledge this in a video, 1. So anyone who misses this post knows about Zig, and 2. Because though I write, record and edit these video, the geckos are the real stars. My channel started with me getting Ziggy back in 2012 as a 3 week old hatchling, it doesn’t feel right not acknowledging her passing.
I am so devastated, this doesn’t feel real. I was always worried about my older gecko because well they’re getting old, I never even thought there was anything wrong with Ziggy 😢.
I have videos schedule for the rest of August including one going up today (13th) and 20th (my birthday). Things might get rescheduled but we’ll see. I’m a mess right now so if I don’t reply to comments/questions, please understand. And if you think you can help in the comment section, link a relevant video etc to people, it would be incredibly appreciated.

Just saw the photo with the message about Ziggy. So sorry for your loss. It's heartbreaking to say goodbye to our beloved pets we've cared for. It is part of life though.
