Something I haven't seen anyone criticize this movie for is Kai's appearance. Po obliterated his spirit in the spirit realm. He had NO reason to show up.

So the Chameleon wasn't able to be taught Kung Fu because she was too small, but Mantis and Viper are absolute badasses with it. Did no one think about that while making this sequel? Thanks Mike Mitchell, you screwed over a great franchise

Lord Shen literally committed a Genocide of the pandas to where the had to go into hiding, hunted down Po because of a prophecy, took over a kingdom and was actively developing weapons of mass destruction and setting out with an armada at the end of his movie. He died HATING Po. But Po did some kung fu and beat a lizard so he's chill now.

“I was rejected because I was too small!”
“No, you were expelled because you tried to kill people.”

Tigress not ending up as the dragon warrior is an actual crime.
The whole point of Po, or at least how I see it, was to help Tigress accept herself and everything she is, she was textbook definition of a successor, but no, gotta shove her to the side for that hack of an "actor" whos just used as a prop.

Kung Fu Panda brought back Ian McShane just for a few lines as Tai Lung and that sucks.

Imagine a redemption journey of Tai Lung and reconciliation with Shifu.

I don't get it, Tigress literally destroyed the nerves in her fist JUST to not feel pain when she was hitting someone....and she doesn't become the dragon warrior? BUT SOME RANDO FOX THAT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THEIR MORALS RIGHT DOES!? WHAT IS THIS MOVIE!?

4:02 Shouldn't we sin the fact that the people most deserving of being the next dragon warrior, the furious five, aren't even present for this contest at all? we know why they couldn't be in the movie irl, but in the movie, they are the ONLY ESTABLISHED WARRIORS who could possibly be the next dragon warrior. not some random npcs

Why didn't they go the original Shen route with the Chameleon by making her born sickly and then be rejected by every Kung Fu school? There by giving her a far better motivation than "being too small" which is goddamn ridiculous considering Mantis exist.

I’d like to add one
The Chameleon’s first impression sucks, especially compared to the other villains in this franchise. What do I mean by this? Let’s go through a roll call.
Tai Lung: escapes a prison with ease.
Shen: kills a master who’s also a rhino.
Kai: defeated Oogway after beating every Kung fu master in the Spirit Realm.
The Chameleon: kicks someone down the stairs…wow, soooo menacing. (God, the Chameleon sucked so freaking much)

I'm still angry that DreamWorks have so lost the plot that instead of investing more in unique animation and great storytelling like The Last Wish, they're putting out slop like this and attending the Disney school of needless and unwanted live action remakes
