I got got mine yesterday 2/9/13 and it is an amazing bit of kit. The built quality and feel is unreal, people need to actually hold the thing to see how well it is built. A lot of people are saying that Ableton are making these videos to make it look as if anyone can but a push and be able to play it like the guy in this video with no musical training. Answer: you actually really can, Push makes playing in key easy with a few finger shapes. Well worth the £430

the melody at 1:20 is actually really cool. i love spacing in fourths like that, of course that spacing comes natural on push due to how scales are laid out and playable with three fingers.

Yes. Every parameter in Live (including effects and Vst's) can be controlled directly with PUSH.

This thing was way ahead of its time! I still use it to produce! I bought the akai force and its actually mot as good as the push 1!

looks great, playing "live"..what they didnt show is possibly the hours of work sampling, warping, arranging all the clips and samples.Anyone whose used Ableton will know this.Also mapping and setting up the effects to use in the mix will take skill and time to perfect.Its not the quick fix it seems but it is a marked jump from the launch pad..Not too much money compared to other midi controllers..most places are bundling live 9 intro with it so not too bad..you still need musical ability though....

Had to wait about 3 months until i got mine but even if they have big delivery problems it is totally worth to wait for it. Had the maschine before as a controller for Ableton with an own selfmade template and felt good using it.... but Push+Ableton kills it easily trust me. In my opinion push is the completion of Ableton. I never felt so free playing music on a computer. It's really some kind of an instrument that gives you this analog kind of feeling if you are making music on a computer.

So, I have the Boxed version of Suite. I'm basically going to be getting MAX now, which I didn't have before and be able to make curved envelopes. I 'm sure there are more features included but for what I am doing with Live, this is the practical functionality the upgrade gives me. I think I will be more motivated to upgrade if they offer a coupon for the upgrade. No matter what, Live is my answer for a music production DAW. I support Ableton 100%

I am talking just about midi controllers for ableton! So, APC is basically just for triggering clips, you can make a sequencer out of it via max for live... But basically you trigger clips and tweak devices... and that's about it wich make it great for live performances, and not so versatile for producing... I have APC so I know what I am talking about ;) But Push is really great for everything that APC lacks of... sequencing, playing notes, laying drums, velocity, better button response etc...
