That's anything but secure. Those weak edge restraints always fail. Best method for a secure edge is concrete.

Ya they did at my home within 3 yrs they popped out and I have a mess to deal with and need a contractior to come out rip up at least 36 inches back re level sand, reset brick and somehow secure so it won’t happen again. And I had by dream patio destroyed until I can afford to get it taken care of. So don’t have this done to your patio and walk way.

Here in Florida they do that nasty cement edging. Looks cheap, it is cheap. Always cracks. I had to show them that the best way is to use concrete and thin set under the edge pavers.

A little concrete on top of the edging and it will hold up
