remembering the lore to the original SMB, i think it mentions there being hundreds of castles that Mario had to search (he just got lucky on the 8th castle). so seeing him accidentally kill Peach and run off, he is now forced to wander through the hundreds of other castles in search, never to find the princess he killed

Yoshi Locations:
First Yoshi is at the right behind a bush at 0:21 before ducking behind the bush
Second Yoshi is to the right at 0:54 when Mario drowns
Third Yoshi is at 1:13 to the left of the staircase in the Duck Hunt reference (I like the Duck Hunt reference)
Fourth Yoshi is at 2:16 on Luigi's hat and it's small so look closely
Fifth Yoshi is the easiest and it's at 2:20 peeking from the right of the platform
