As requested by absolutely no one, Kyle teaches you what he's learned about making it big on Youtube! After all, who would know better than a comedy sketch artist who stubbornly imitates only Youtube creators from 2010?

Kyle Sullivan, the living embodiment of the "starving artist" trope...

Well, Kyle just summed up everything I learned making 86 short films on YouTube over the course of 5 years and getting only 151 subscribers (less than the guy I know who shaved his head for a bet and then filmed it). Thanks Kyle, you're about 5 years late, great timing as always.

Just in case the glass of vintage apple juice wasn't enough to show the man has class. 😆

Right on the bloody money mate. Whenever someone asks me how they should make a youtube channel, my first advice is "just don't". The second is to ask them if they enjoy making videos and if they're prepared to make and upload videos and have no one watch them. Because that will happen for a long time. I lucked out and had one video explode and hey now I don't have a uni education and instead shitpost for a living. If you gave me a time machine I have no idea if I could do it again. YouTube is a terrible path to "get easy money", and Kyle is right. I work a lot of bloody hours. It's sometimes hard to motivate myself because I'm my own boss and why would I work when I can watch stupid internet videos instead, but when I do work I work for ages. I wake up, eat breakfast, work until I have to eat again and then go to sleep. It's not like I don't enjoy the job, but it's still a bloody job, and one that requires a whole lot of work at that.

I have only recently subscribed to this channel, and though I don't know where. I just remember scrolling through youtube and stumbling across a very charismatic hobo asking a leprechaun for money. From there I watched every single video in the binge playlist, and am on my way to completing all the community comments and anything else I can get my hands on, though it will probably be the binge list for a fifth time... I may have a problem...
Either way, I have to say, through seeing all of your videos, I have has a lot of fun time laughing at all the good, bad, and strange moments that have come up in your history here, and with this video in particular, I have been given, let's say, a moment of clarity (though that is bol shaveki and we all know it). I am at a moment in my life where I have no idea what I am going to do. I have started a lot of things, like a YouTube channel, that I immediately gave up on them because they didn't make me happy, and I am at a point where I don't know what I am going to do and I am running out of options. And that scares me.
Coming here, and especially seeing this video, helps. Immensely. I think... being here has taught me exactly what I love, and what I don't want to do. And I thank you. Really, thank you so much.
I love all of you, from the bottom of my heart, and I hope you the best in your future endeavors, and whatever that may bring.

"Well back in my day, the point was to make some cool stuff."

Damn straight. If there's no passion, there's no art.

Also this is just a little too real... the YouTuber is the modern starving artist. There are going to be only a few people who make that big break.

The very best explanation I've heard of what it's actually like to work on YouTube ever. Great sketches, great discussion, great cast... and they don't even have 1M subs yet?!

Is it just me or did Kyle jump straight from scraggly teenager/young adult to budding adult in two months...?

Kyle, you cannot use your tired eyes as an argument. They always look like that.

Everything I love about door monster; hilarious jokes, surprising sincerity, and pure, unregulated Kyle. (Yes, I did use your name as an adjective)

You do a service to the community by doing sketches. No one else does them like they used to
