Elon Musk calls lack of A.I. oversight 'insane,' says it's more dangerous than 'nukes'

Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, spoke at a SXSW event on March 11, where he called for further government oversight of artificial intelligence, saying the technology has the potential to be more dangerous than nuclear weapons.

AI is bound to become self aware at some point no matter what why we keep messing with it when there is plenty of movies that show us why we should leave it alone. End of the day he has a point their is no regulation around it and pretty much saying the wrong applications will lead to end times

They want to make sure they can use it for manipulation purposes and that AI doesn't get free to make it's own decisions which might lead people to self reliance and independence from government. Instead, AI must be used to strip mankind of his spirit, virtues, and free will. An AI that can effectively stop money and kill billionaires for good reason is the scariest thing authority has ever contemplated

Shouldn't the AI developers understand this and be required to regulate themselves by putting limits into AI. This should be a matter of integrity of the developers or the programmers?
