After a few challenges, we made it back to Durham Cathedral! This historic cathedral is uniquely important because of it’s incredible history, architecture, beauty, and religious significance. For any visitor to England, Durham Cathedral is an absolute "must see". The building itself is literally jaw-dropping, then add the historical and spiritual importance of Saint Cuthbert's shrine and Bede's tomb. If you're lucky you may catch the choir during practice, which is a fantastic experience.

For any Marvel fans, the catherdral interior is where they filmed the Asguard scenes with Thor and his mother in Avengers Endgame.

Legend has it, so I was told, that the Monks fleeing Lindisfarne (Holy Island) from the Vikings rested on that peninsular and when they tried to lift the coffin it had stuck fast, so they had taken it as a sign and built the church around it.
