A set could be a domain, but it can represent many more things as well. It could be, prime numbers, even numbers, or even a grocery list. It's just a way to define a group of objects, in math this usually happens to be numbers.

Is the empty set equal to a set containing the empty set? Since I cant figure out how to put the empty set character in this comment let's just say the empty set is represented by 0. So 0=the empty set. Now what I'm asking, is 0 equal to {0}. In other words are these two sets equal 0, {0}? Remembering that I am representing the empty set with 0 Thanks for the hw help. Btw my belief is that they are equal. And at the same time I'm not sure {0} would be a set at all.
