LM317 Linear Voltage Regulator Kit: How Fast Can We Build It?

A few months ago, Junk From Work and Simple Electronics did a head to head solder-off competition where they both assembled this kit in a split screen live stream:

Then Junk From Work did a solo attempt, where he improved his assembly time:

So I thought I'd give it a shot...

The kit can be found places like eBay and Aliexpress and probably others. Here’s an eBay search link that should find it. Make sure it’s the kind with those speaker terminals on the output because there’s a few similar kits.

I just made one from the LM317 with an all red board, it won't go over 1.3v. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

Sorry I have to give a big dislike. Was hoping for some real testosterone-induced competition here. You cannot stop building faster until you bleed or burn! That is it. I want see lines of speedy drugs next to your stout, to give you the +1. I want ElectroBOOM to have a Coming To God moment reviewing this video, telling us all to play it safe, because inert gas tig welding at the tens of thousands of volts is just not worth the risk, just to solder a kit a bit faster. I want to see real effort next time, yes.
