Yesterday I went outside and encountered a strange green carpet. It was scary.

I've done the same and not looked back. Totally worth it. I'm only posting on YouTube. Much less stress and regret.

I converted to Catholicism, in a large part, because of your channel. I was already contemplating Catholicism, but a friend had given me a link to one of those old Mike Winger videos. I watched and was almost dissuaded from joining, but thought, "No. I should at least try and find a response." I typed in "Mike Winger Catholic Response" and your channel came up. The rest is history. I now listen to it like radio. You and your videos have been SO helpful to me on my journey. Even if you decide to stop making content, please don't ever take down what is already out there. I am sure there are several stories just like mine.

Honestly, I use your videos a lot like a radio, listening while my hands are doing something, usually at work. So it's not a problem 😂
God bless you Trent ❤

My son is discerning Catholicism. Your channel has been pivotal in his process, as it was in helping me grow in my conversion to understand my faith more deeply, as we as gain the confidence to defend it. Thank you for all that you do. You’re a blessing to so many.

This is exactly why I listen to your podcast. It’s informative, precise, and concise. Gets to the point, without wasting my time.

If you had deleted your YouTube account, I might have not converted to Catholicism

I'm a 2024 Catholic convert from the Reformed Baptist world. I watch you all the time on YouTube. Please don't leave this site. You're a blessing to the Body. Leaving here is crippling the Truth's spread. The Good of you being here outweighs the bad you experience because you're leading people to the cross and the Throne. So many more people are lost like I was. Your voice is very much needed.

You’re not the boss of me! I’m staying subscribed, watching the WHOLE video and will probably hit the thumbs up. Maybe I’ll event post comment!

YT is my one platform, and it’s for learning. Because I’m not a TV watcher, Covid was like one long intense retreat. Learned so much and met so many who previously were not in my world — like yourself! Immensely grateful, but am also careful with my time. So, I think you’re on the right track, Trent. Thanks for posting this! 💜❤️💙

I seriously took a break from social media for 2 straight years and that lead me to learn my catholic faith and a deeper understanding of god and that has lead me to seminary

Trent, you probably won't read, like, or reply to this comment, but just wanted to post something to help you with YouTube's algorithm - your channel is a bright light in the darkness of the interwebs!

In an online world filled with craziness, Trent is a HUGE blessing to those seeking truth through reason.

I watched a live concert yesterday and then went to a friend's house for dinner. Very refreshing. I felt so much better when I gave up Facebook.

Another way social media turns decent people into cruel monsters is that when ever they see someone misbehaving in public, they record them on their smartphones and post them on social media ruining their reputations. People who record and post such things don’t understand what kind of stuff these misbehaving people are going through in their lives. It is never okay to murder their reputation.

I'm becoming an Elementary school teacher in a year when I graduate, and this video was a wake up call to me and literally came at the same exact time I have been wrestling with this issue. All the moments that matter have been in real life - with the kids I work with, with my family and friends, outside in summer making memories... On social media I can become a different person - more irritable, more prideful, more prone to pointless arguments - and it takes a toll on my mental health and spiritual health. I don't want anything to do with that either anymore. What a sad way to live out the limited time I have on Earth. I want to be the best teacher and disciple of Jesus I can be in real life. Please pray for me, and thank you for making this video!

Trent you are a strong source of edification, of course i have to subscribe and i look forward to you and joe heschmeier ESPECIALLY and catholic answers in general...(Jimmy Akin is a widower God bless him so he provides SO much content that helps rather than hurts people).

The danger is in the shorts...if u watch just one and go to the next one you can lose ALOT of time doom scrolling before you realize it. Do what God leads you to but i hope to see frequent posts from you still

Mood. I went outside without my phone the other day and it was ~different~!

I agree 100%. I was addicted to my phone years ago and wanted to kick the habit, so I started treating it like a house phone, leaving it in my room unless it was really necessary to bring it; that was the first and most crucial step, and I eventually kicked the addiction.

Of course, that was just phone addiction, but I was still on social media a lot, and I also wanted to kick that habit, especially because I recognized what it was doing to me, and wasting my time. So, I began to develop hobbies that would take time that would've been used on social media. Fast forward to today, I pretty much only use YouTube and almost never use my phone. It's possible; just pray and take these things one step at a time.

Been thinking of doing the same recently.

I'm an Orthodox Christian ☦️ but I love your work Trent — thank you!
