That “oh god I’m such an idiot” can lead to SUCH AN ARCH!! He continues helping Robert as he become a regular “patient” while helping other monsters on the side, he slowly begins doubting his abilities, leading to himself getting the help he gave to so many others!

imagine watching in terror as a giant squid attacks your home city and some giant green dude in tights starts having a philosophical conversation with it as everyone stands around awkwardly

Then once Big Mask gets depression, all the monsters he helped come to him to give him some therapeutic help.

I like how Big Mask is a combination of the two most popular Tokusatsu heroes. His size, shape and patterns are all based on Ultraman, but his green & black color scheme, his name, and the placement of the “color timer” on his waist like a belt buckle are clearly based on Kamen Rider.

Jeezus squid guy seemed to realize that the ultimate enemy to Therapy Man was just to become someone unreachable by therapy who drags others down. His dastardly plan will lower the self worth of the entire city! One hell of a nemesis for Therapy Man.

I love this. I like how Big Mask's superpower of growing gigantic in size actually has a role in the plot that isn't violent; Robert probably wouldn't listen to him if he was normal sized.

Honestly though, this was a resounding victory for Big Mask. Not a single casualty, no property damage, no personal sacrifices made and he even improved the squid's life. This is the best possible outcome here.

Big Mask is a double entendre, his mask makes him big, yes, but he also wears a big mask, emotionally. He can guide others through their agony because he's been there, because sometimes he still is there. That's how empathy works.

This is just... so cool. A hero who actually listens and tries to help a monster through his problems instead of "helping" by beating them up or saying that what they're doing is not right and then beat them up. As someone who played Undertale this kinda gives me an odd feeling, especially since I never did genocide in the game. Anyways WE NEED A SERIES.

It might be unrealistic but the "Hero that convinces the bad guy to go cry in the corner through psychoanalysis" is my favorite thing in stories.

Despite being played for laughs, this is unironically the best representation of what a true hero should be.

Lol that whole "God I'm such an idiot" after calling him Giant Squid Monster. I feel that. Such an A+ conversation then suddenly that ending. "Of course he's Robert. Should've asked him for his name first before calling him a squid monster." That's life, my dude, that's life.

If more of these could be made and condensed or refined, this could be a really good super hero parody series like One Punch Man. There is definitely a lot of potential here.
