You can really tell by these highlights how much the game has changed, especially the ballhandling. The rules were so much stricter back then for palming, no way they could have gotten away with a lot of the dribbling that is allowed now.

Amazing how we remember silly, specific things from so long ago. I was a kid, watching this game, when I noticed, for the first time, that all the players weren't wearing the Converse Chuck Taylor shoes, some were wearing the Adidas Superstars. It became my mission in life, to get me a pair. My parents objected to paying $20 + for a pair of "gym shoes" but, eventually bought me a pair for my birthday.
