I grew up sport fishing the North Sea, and a giant halibut is the king of fish catches. Some skate and ray can also grow big but halibut is a menu fish also. Well done.

That fish was 200 lbs. of solid muscle. Glad y'all learned your lesson about boating the big ones. It can easily break bones, smash up gear and cause very serious injury. Here in Canada, if we were going to kill a fish of that size we would shoot it and lash it to to the gunnels. Tight lines from the beautiful, bountiful Canadian Pacific coast!
