10-year-old in critical condition, woman found dead in Lithonia home, police say

DeKalb County police say a woman is dead and a 10-year-old girl was found with gunshot wounds at a home at the 1800 block of Harmony Hill Court in Lithonia. Officials say that the girl is in critical condition.

Um...this sounds odd. If it was an intruder, wouldn't they have shot both the girl and the woman? I hope this wasn't a murder-suicide where the woman shot the child and then tried to overdose on pills.
