Weird Reason Why Space is Black

I have a question that you think you know the answer to. Why is space black? You might easily come up with an answer, and while it may be partially correct that's not the REAL reason why space is black. It's a lot stranger than you think.

Even as a space nerd myself, I find it pretty funny he assumed the “obvious” explanation as to why space is black that “most people” know is one that involves gas and dust and light reflection. As if most people wouldn’t just answer “uh space is black because it’s dark.”
