This has been on my radar since it came out, but other videos didn't quite sell me on the play. Always such a pleasure to watch you dive into a game. I am definitely going to pick this up! As a solo gamer I particularly appreciate your solo plays. Thanks for another great episode!

I love the theme especially mummifying! It looks maybe too complicated but I am so tempted 😮

Love watching you piece through the rules as you go, Paul! I'm forever shouting rules out as I watch like you can hear me lol I'm a couple hours in and the only things I can see you missed was your boat activation at 48.35 where you consider a takeback but go with your first idea but forget to move your boat forward. This would have given you fish production next rounds :) The other thing is to do with Imhotep's Sphinx and Sarcophagus actions. He will only ever have one embalmed sarcophagus or one carved sphinx at a time. If he should build a second, you instead get to perform the errect a sphinx or Funery Rite action instead :) I's a lovely game and great solo mode!

Hmm... Now you've given me further food for thought. Your tastes on occasion line up perfectly with mine e.g., Captain's Chair, Dragons Down, and sometimes not. Your recommendation is meaningful to me--particularly here because I've been drawn to this game and its setting. That said, I really bounced off Germán's previous game, Sabika, which I wanted to love but could not embrace. It felt cluttered for my tastes, and its UI made it harder for me to parse what was meant to happen at a glance (solo play in my case). Men-Nefer is clearly a different game than Sabika, but from your perspective does it stand apart?
