Thanks to the feedback I have gotten, I now know I made a couple of rule mistakes.

The most impactful one is that when you move your scarab due to a green bonus track reward for acquiring the matching action tile, you do NOT take the action. You simply advance the scarab. Also, I should have had the AI start the game and I should have only placed 1 block in the big pyramid to start. Finally, when you place a sarcophagus, you only get to activate the bonuses a number of times based on your level (level 1, only 1 of them/level 2, two of them/level 3, 3 times among the 2 tiles).

Been enjoying this game thanks to you! Sometimes it feels like the bot gets to do way too much (more than even a good player could accomplish) because of its

34:46 You took both sarcophagus bonuses, but only placed a Level 1, which means you have to choose 1 bonus to activate. Sounds nit-picky, but those are the rules. Thanks for the playthrough; love this game and I love your channel!

Men-Nefer is the most accomplished medium weight euro I have played in 2024. Thanks to the high quality and understated graphic design, the huge, busy board is super simple to parse at a glance and the game is actually very easy to play.

Everything comes together into a satisfying whole and it's a great solo experience. The best mid weight euro of 2024? Most likely.

Hello, great video. I played today one round of the game with two players by myself to understand the rules. Looking forward to play the solo mode.

Just two things about the rules. The first one is that I think for two players as well as in solo mode you start with only one pyramid piece built, I see you started with the full first level built. The second thing is that the bot is the first player, and I think you started the game.

Hey John, quick question. If you have the ability to take the Make An Offering action, but there isn’t a craft available to place the pot, can you still move the priestess the indicated number of spaces or does the lack of a craft negate all parts of the action?
