Here's my list:

1. Neglect basic government services. In particular, neglect education and infrastructure. Basic payments are fine but education will lead to a high skill workforce which will grow the economy.

2. Make sure to boggle the state down in spending, but not the kind that aids economic growth. The more the government is spending outside of helping people learn basic skills, the better. On an additional note, make sure that your pension system works like a ponzi scheme, putting the burden of an aging population on the young ones.

3. Procyclical fiscal policy: This means running large deficits when times are good and when there's an economic crisis, resort to austerity. This is exactly what Greece did (though the austerity part was imposed by the EU).

4. Demonize immigrants: They're taking our jobs, or at least the jobs that don't pay well or require a lot of skill to learn.

5. Show lack of regard for property rights: People won't want to invest if the state can just seize them at any moment. There's a reason why there are fewer businesses in Venezuela today than there were in 2000.

At the formula at 1:05 you wrote n + n =1. I am familiar with similar formulas where instead of the two "n" alpha + beta equals 1. But with n + n = 1 doesn't that simply imply n must always be equal to 0.5? That would no longer make it a variable and would fix the formula to A*L^(0.5)*K^(0.5).
