In this video, we will show you how to remove and clean the hybrid high-voltage battery air filter in the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.

Hybrid Battery Air Filter Part Number: G92DH-42010.
Hybrid Battery Air Filter Cover (Access Panel) Part Number: 58441-0R010.

PRODUCT LINK:

TOOLS REQUIRED:

The air filter is located underneath the back seat. You have to inspect the air intake periodically. If it is very dusty or you get the warning message on the main display saying that “Maintenance is required for Traction Battery Cooling Parts” you need to clean the air intake and the filter underneath.
If the air intake and the filter are clogged this will affect the cooling of the hybrid battery. Charging and discharging will be limited, the distance that the vehicle can travel on a hybrid battery will reduce and your fuel economy will be reduced as well. Because of this, it is very important to check it regularly and keep it clean.

Very nice!!!
Never really knew about this particular filter for the HV Hybrid battery located under the back seat on our 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Another filter to do maintenance when doing the ENGINE air filter or/and CABIN air filter. Located a replacement filter on AMAZON varying from $8.00-16 ish range so not hurt the wallet too bad.
Thanks again!

I have a 22 rav 4 hybrid. Did not know this filter existed. I’ll check it but I’ll just buy a new filter, not vacuum it. Just changed my cabin filter today fjr first time. Easy but it was dirty.

Once that cover is off I see some more filters inside. Looks like packets of charcoal. Any ideas about those?

Don’t vacuum the filter on the backside like he did. That drives the dirt deeper into the filter

Thank you. Any info on the 2nd filter in there? My filter is clean like yours, but battery keeps overheating. 2021 with 97000km on.
