1,428 days. That's how long the United States went without losing a single match in the osu World Cup. Their previous loss was against the United Kingdom in the 2018 osu World Cup grand finals where Bubbleman put on a godlike performance. Of course, this didn't amount to much as the United States went on to win the 2018 osu World Cup. And nothing has changed since then. From 2019-2021, the United States have won the osu World Cup without losing a single match. They have won 19 matches in a row spanning from 2018-2021 ever since their previous loss and looked absolutely unstoppable. This is most prominent in 2019 where the US put on the greatest tournament performance in osu history when they won 37 maps, including their last 25 in a row while losing only 3. It was safe to say they were the best team in osu history. However, other teams have gotten closer and closer to beating them over time. The 2020 osu World Cup grand finals had the US and Germany going to the tiebreaker, and the 2021 osu World Cup also gave the US a scare. Even though they still won, it was clear that they were beatable. We just needed a team to get over the hump. The 2022 osu World Cup rolled around, and it was United States vs South Korea in the grand finals. Except, there's something up with both teams, and for completely different reasons.

Just because the US got put in losers doesn’t mean they’ll win the OWC, but that didn’t stop them from winning the losers bracket to winning finals.

Yes I know this is uploaded in November 16th but you should have waited after finals. Who knows, the team in the losers bracket can clutch the owc win if they play out of their minds.
