Through staying to true to the culture of skateboarding and creative marketing DC Shoes has paved the way for many other brands to come. In this video we take a closer look at the history of DC Shoes and what makes them so special.

I wrote a bunch of emails to skaters back in like 2001 when I was a kid and Josh Kalis was the only one to write me back. True legend.

Had no idea Ken Block was a founder of DC, that’s crazy. I only knew of him because of Hoonigan. Great vid guys, thank you for all the work you do

I'm not a sneaker head and I usually research running/ trail shoes for functionality over style. With that said, I really enjoy your channel and learning about the cultures and histories. I can see the work put into the research and production. Thank you for the videos and I wish you nothing but success!

I love “Rob & Big” to this day! I had a pair of Dyrdeks back in 2007.

When I’m looking for discounted skate shoes, my first thought would be to head towards my local Burlington, Ross, Marshall’s or a thrift store. It’s common to find some DC’s, Supra, emericas and other skate brands.

Also I love your videos guys 👍

Me and three friends, plus a friends dad, drove 12+ hours from Ohio to skate LOVE. While there, we met and hung out with Khalis and watched Williams film for the DC video and a Thrasher shoot...we even made it in a photo where Williams is switch heelflipping off the high ledge over a trashcan. Some of my best memories!

Nice video! My brother is Ken Block 😊 DC was sold to Quiksilver in 2004, my brother continued to work with Quiksilver for another 10+ years. He then started [HOONIGAN] and he’s mostly known for his viral driving videos called Gymkhana (my fav is Gymkhana 5)

Yep! The Lynx, The Kalis & The Williams OG were the shoes to be seen in. Until Vans released the Half Cabs in '92, still the most iconic skate shoes in the history of skateboarding. ❤

Still in that early comment line. Lol, DC was popular during my high school year's. Lol, baggy pants and big skateboard shoes.

Hope you guys are well, and enjoying the holidays 🙏🏿
