Selkie - Short Film

Far in the north of Scotland, the Selkies live.
In the sea they dress in seal skins and swim under the waves but on land they remove their skins and dance as beautiful human women.
Aila, a selkie woman, has her skin stolen by her human lover and cannot return to her home in the sea. Selkie tells the tale of her sorrow and longing as she deals with her broken heart and tries to adjust to a life on land.

That was beautiful. Her girlfriend, though I can understand her to some degree, is a bitch. She knew all along that Selkies yearn for water live and yet she was irresponsible enough to throw the skin away. I'm glad it had happy ending for the main character. She deserved much better. Good one.

I would've left her too. She was so manipulative and that was such a toxic relationship, even if the victim wasn't a selkie.
