I watched a few videos on the propagation by now, but yours was by for the most informative. I had no idea that each plant actually grows more than one baby, and your drawings made so much sense! It's my first time trying this with four leaves that I got from my mom, and I was trying to figure out how big the babies need to get before separating them. Your video gave me all the answers. I need to be a bit more patient :) Thank you again.

Thanks. I'm very, very new at growing African Violets, but I am able to grow them. I just got a violet plan my Mom had growing in her kitchen window for a few years and never bloomed. I took it up to my room and watered and fed it and it's got almost 10 buds and 1 beautiful pink bloom.

Just wanted to come back & say thanks for making this. My mom had a dying 16 year old african violet so I watched this & took a cutting. After 10 weeks it sprouted today I can't wait to show her, she's going to flip !!! LOL
Edit: How I did it was cut off the bottom 2" of a water bottle, cut drain holes then added soil, the cutting & put it in a sandwich baggie left open a little for air flow.

I saved one from Lowe's. They sold it for $1. It was near dead. I took it home & nurtured it. It has multipled & is now almost 7 years old! Great video, I will cut at angle from now on.

Mine are about ready to transplant! I’m probably going to steal some more leaves from my grandma and try cutting them on an angle! I started with 6 total and I have 4 with babies! What a learning process! I agree this is a great hobby :)

Just found your video! Better late than never! Thank for creating it. I had an accident with my very old African Violet, broke the stem right off when I dropped it. I saved all the leaves and put them in water. They've all grown roots and I'm going to repot them today!

I am just learning about violets and it is amazing how badly they want to reproduce. I have a feeling I could end up with a lot of them. You have given a key to doing just that. They seem so innocent, the plant your Grandma and your mom had and meanwhile they are a powerhouse of surviving if they are treated right.

I LOVED the drawings (and the rest of the video too.. ) It really helped make clear the idea. I hadn't heard yet WHY you cut at an angle. That makes sense! Nice Video! Thank you
