I've been trying to figure out what he was doing in other vids and this kinda cracked it for me, to think that the answer was in the penta (five) when we are so used to just apishly playing the scales up and down 2 notes per string, in 6 notes. This is one of the best players out there period.

He's so great live, I highly recommend seeing one of his shows. It blows my mind that he plays with his guitar strung upside down. Hendrix, the guitar master that he was, simply played a RH guitar flipped over and strung correctly. Eric plays a guitar backwards and strung in reverse for him as a lefty which is insane.

I often wonder what or who influenced him to play like this? With tge high E string at top and low E at bottom?? Have to be a reason he chose this style. Anyone know?
