What’s up everyone I’m TIFF the Perfumista and Today we’re going to discuss a word that every perfumista HATES TO HEAR. A word so cringeworthy, so insulting and off putting that it would make any perfumista’s ear bleed. REFORMULATION. The very idea of buying a reformulated bottle would literally stop any perfumista in their tracks and go from deal go to no deal at all! Now discontinuing fragrances and scent reformulations are quite common in the world of fragrance. So sad but true.

Some of my die hard Chanel fragrance lovers know that Chanel recently went through a discontinuation of the Les Exclusif line, discontinuing their line which at one point was eau de toilettes and then replacing them, (EXCUSE) REFORMULATING each individual scent to be AN EDP. So what does this mean for you? Well I’m (LOWKEY) worried. What if down the line Chanel phases out the Bleu de Chanel Toilette version that so many ppl love. I mean, it’s possible. Or maybe over time, we could start to notice certain tweaks with performance and longevity in the eau de toilette and the eau de parfum steering its customers in the direction of buying the parfum?

Now I love Chanel, Chanel is probably one of my favorite fashion and fragrance houses of all time. I have a Chanel tattoo for christ sakes. But Chanel is going to do what’s for the greater good of Chanel, period. Understandably so, even at the expensive of its customers, as we’ve already seen it happen in the past, to the tune of and extra $100 per bottle for the Les Exclusif fragrances. So just as a friendly reminder because i love you so much. Get the one you love today because who the hell knows what tomorrow holds.

I gave you a price breakdown in my last video and I’ll leave it in the cards so that you can click it and watch. The 5.0oz Bleu de Chanel edp I believe provides you with the most value as it the same price as the 3.4oz parfum version. $150 plus tax. To be perfectly honest, I’m not crazy about the EDT so that’s a total pass, For me personally it’s a toss up between the EDP and parfum. The EDP is fresher and last longer. It does. But I personally prefer Bleu de Chanel parfum. I love it, I love the way it wears, and to me it just richer and suit my taste just fine. So you do what’s right for you. If your on a budget and you want the best value get the EDP. If You’re a fan of the EDP and want a more fuller fragrance, go with the parfum.

I tried the parfum version and i see that the edp is the most balanced one between the freshness and the deepness.

I own the EDT & EDP and sampled the parfum for over a week. I prefer the Parfum. It performs better at night tho. Like I said in my review, the parfum will go down as the best date-night scent EVER.

The EDT lasts and projects longer than the EDP only for Bleu de Chanel and it has the best value proposition. EDP usually lasts longer but not in this case.

Great video Tiff, ive heard so many people complain about the price of this "parfum" i just recently recieved a huge bottle of the Edp, which, i love, and, i never liked the EDT, could not get with it. So now, i can not wait to try this. Great job my friend..!

Bleu de Chanel parfum is my daily driver fragrance. I buy it in the 5 oz bottle. I wear it for myself and no other reason. I am an old man living in a rural community in western Washington.

The Parfum version is a bit powdery, its nice but I like the EDT over the Parfum version, its just that perfect small detailed roughness what fits for men.

I’ve smelled the edt, and the edp, and I’ve been debating whether it was good enough to purchase. So this one dropped and at the first smell, I was in love with it. It’s like they took everything I hated or didn’t convince me to purchase the edt or the edp and made it perfect. The parfum is perfection and I know own a bottle of blue de Chanel parfum.

Thank you i was confused with the EDP and the Parfum. I just started out in the fragrance community when i walked into a Von Maur store and i asked for help on finding my first scent and the lady was a real professional and you could trust her completely and she goes to school to make fragrances. She recommended me The EDT as a personal opinion, so i guess i should stick with that but i thought the EDT was a bit more pleasant then the EDP i did smell the EDP but loved what i had more so thank you. Bleu De Chanel is like my first pokemon, it's my first love.

EDT is my favorite. I own the EDP as well and I think that is only for dressed up, or a nice sweater. Just my opinion, I think the Parfum smells the same as the EDP. Kind of a redundancy.

For me it is EDT, I’ve tried all 3 versions. EDT is more masculine, lasts long like the other two, has a great projection. The opening and the dry down of the EDT beats the EDP and Parfum. But that’s for me.

I bought the edp not versed in the fragrance game at all. Was influenced by a commercial and I have to tell you it’s changed my life 😂 it’s given me a confidence I’ve never had.

EDT gives the better overall performance in my opinion. I also have the the eau de parfum. I love the smell but the performance is lacklustre. Sometimes I layer them to get the best of both worlds.

I bought the parfum and loved the open for sure, BUT it dried quite powdwry and personally I hate powdery. I looked at the notes online and yep...powdery. Edp does not dry down powdery.
