I remember flying on United from Beijing to San Francisco. I was pretty young at the time, so it involved me running around exploring the plane while I tried to avoid cabin crews with their trolleys.

United has recently announced that they will be retrofitting all of their mainline aircraft with fresh cabins, including IFE screens. A move similar to what Delta is doing.

I live around an hour outside of Philadelphia and my moms family is in Colombia. EWR is not too far away and I’ve taken this EXACT route countless times.

Wow, that 737-700 seems to be upgraded rather well. Not only has the interior been fitted with IFE, but the wingtips have also been retrofitted with newer strobe lights and Scimitar winglets. (Notice how the light pulses rather slowly at takeoff, instead of flashing very quickly.)

WOW! 😮 Looks INCREDIBLE what a journey and on a 737-700 it reminds me a lot of the United Pacific Island Hopper when it used to be flown with a 737-700!

Great report. One thing I can say about United is IF you get a meal it's the best US Airline for quality food. Who has the worst even back in 1990? Delta.

BOG is hot and high. That means that one has to use a small narrow body like the A319 or Boeing 737-700, or a wide-body (the A320neo can also fly BOG-NYC but the classic A320 cannot).
