I think a lot of people build their kitchens to be showpieces rather than to be functional. Stain and laminate seem to be the superior finishes.

Are stain and toned cabinets same finish? Our kitchen cabinets will be white oak and we need to choose to go with stain or toned. Please give us your advise. We have kids so really need practical strong finish

I am thinking of going with a light wood stain for my island, base cabinets and pantry. My upper cabinets would be in a white or off-white. However I am not sure what crown moulding color to use for the top. Should It be all white moulding or should the pantry have a it’s matching crown moulding and then the upper cabinets have white moulding ? Your input would be appreciated! 🥺🤗

Thanks.... I have maple cabinets that have slightly darkened over time but would like to stain, not paint, them. Can I go with a lighter colored (maybe gray) gel stain over them?

Hello, I just recently sanded and stained my kitchen, which was a job. I’m not loving the color, maybe not the color so much but the grain, in my drawers. They each have a wonky grain and I hate it. It’s a medium tone brown gray. Do you have any suggestions to fix? I’m open to anything lol, but I would hate to sand again. My doors haven’t been stained with this color thank god as those were hard to sand. Please, I need help! Thanks so much.
