Edward VI is dead - but who will succeed him on the throne?

In the first of two episodes, Tom and Dominic discuss the succession question that surrounded the reign of Edward VI, the sole male heir of Henry VIII - and how a 15-year-old Lady Jane Grey ended up Queen of England and Ireland.

Tune in to hear about svengalis, the deeply embedded memory of Henry VIII, and why the people of Guildford are the true victims in this incredible story.

Thank-you so much for bringing up Empress Matilda! I have seen so many discussions of Lady Jane Grey's claim to the throne without any reference to Empress Matilda.

I know it’s already talked about endlessly but could you do a Series about Henry VIII? Would be a treat to have you two Talk about Henry VII, his victory against Richard III on Bosworth Field and Everything that Happens up to Elizabeth I reign 😍

Margaret Tudor was Mary Queen of Scotts' grandmother. Margaret had James V who was Mary's father, and Margaret Douglas who was Lord Darnley's mother. Mary Tudor had two sons, both did not live to adulthood.

I think they should put her back on the list, for god sake she was executed as a child 😕

Jane was an abused child. Im very sorry for her all the way around. I like the 80s movie with Helena Bonham Carter ❤

Total amateurs. Also, Anne Boleyn was not convicted as a witch, in no sources is this mentioned at all. Also, Lady Francis had a sister you forgot to mention. The lack of correct details is shocking
