Guys you are simply the best! I've stayed up all night listening to your podcasts on Trafalgar. Simply brilliant. Now in the early morning I'm again hooked on your explanation of the 100 years war. But, as an American I must object ( in a friendly hands across the sea kinda way.) in American football you do NOT just run into each other. It's much more complicated and well planned, strategically than just that. It can take years to understand and comprehend the plays behind it all. No disrespect mind you. Once again you two are the best thing happening on the Internet. Cheers from America. Blessings.

“A Distant Mirror” is my favorite book.Tuchman compared the 1970’s to the 14th century. Her recounting of the Black Death will make you long for any vaccine available to you and your children.

I'm sorry to tell to Tom that Champagne the sparkling wine we know today did'nt exist at this time . For this you must wait the 17 th century . But it is true that wine was already cultivated in the Marne valley during this period . Wine in middle age is often made near rivers, because it's a pounderous good and hard to transport except by barges .

Have you done any of the war of the roses?

Can you make some episodes about the history of coronations before the crowing if Charles III?

No, ASOIAF/GOT are more inspired by the Wars of the Roses. Even in the backstory, I don't think there's an equivalent of the 100 years war. The Targaryens don't really venture back east once they have a lock on Westeros. Shameless nitpickery aside, this is a good episode. Thanks for sharing!
