The TQ-HPR50 is used on many light weight EMTBs including Trek Fuel EXe

After seeing various photos and videos of TQ-HPR50 drive system I got curious about how it all went together so I created a 3D CAD model from those images.

Of course TQ have an excellent animation showing the internals so that was my starting point but to get enough detail I had to trawl the internet to find at lot more images.

MINOR CORRECTION
The small cable connects to the wheel speed sensor. The large cable carries battery power and the connection to the devices.

Last month I ride one of the Trek bike with TQ motor. It was a very new and good experience. This engine feels very natural during the ride.

Nice bit of reverse engineering. You did well just going from the images of the motor. Sometimes it's hard to model a part even if you have it in your hands.

I have one of these on my Trek Fuel EXE, over 300 miles. It's quiet and smooth no issues.

Hi Tony, do you know anything about replacing the bearings inside the drive unit?
Also how long do you think the bearings would to last before having to have the unit sent off?
