And just to confirm what you said in the middle of the video, I gotta say that I’m a prime example to the point you brought up. Some years ago I took the CELTA course in San Francisco. I was one of the two non-native speakers of the English language in our class. So every time my American classmates/friends had some grammar questions, our professor, originally from Britain, would send them to us (the student from Eastern Europe and me) because he, the teacher, believed we had a more advanced and accurate grammar as we, as non-native speakers, “had to learn it directly, separately and purposely, “ and I think he was right.
