Hi, I have one of these too! To kill all the noise you need to use the 2 stages (the 2 channels) from it. The first channel only removes the hum from your guitar, the second channel is the gate itself. The second channel was meant to connect into the fx loop of your amp, if you don't have fx loop you can jump channel 1 to channel 2 to act like a normal noise gate in front of the amp (plus the hum extractor). I hope it helps!
Cheers

100 percent operator error. You need to look into 4 cable method. It can’t eliminate noise that is being generated downstream from it

I think the comments here are missing the point. Of course the gate side will gate the rest of that noise. But, the point is, the hum eliminator only gets rid of the lower hum harmonics. If it tried to filter out all that upper stuff, it would kill the tone too much. So the hum extractor only can extract hum frequencies up to about 2k. If there is hum frequency above that, the hum extractor can't deal with that, so you have to also use the gate. However, all that high frequency hum sound will still be in the signal while the gate is open. That is, I think, the point of this video.

Gotta hook up the 2 nd channel.
It’s got a little wizard running through your signal chain with a bottle of teriyaki sauce

ch 2 in the loop and you could still have a house outlet grounding issue. Get a EbTech Hum-X on you AC line
