It's been nearly 7 years since my arduous quest to get a perfect score on world version in 30 minutes. Times have changed since then. I've improved and so has the map. But how fast can I go? The quest for speed restarts here with this sub 20 minute effort, which includes an unfortunate glimpse at the rear end of an unsuspecting sunbather in the middle of a remote polish field.

PS: How not to travel America news: Episode 7 will be released next Sunday (26th Feb) at 8pm GMT (a day earlier for patreons)

Forgot to mention in the vid, this was about my 15th go at this. Cobwebs needed blowing. Let me know what geoguessr you’d like to see next, and don’t forget to drop the video a like!

Spends one minute in Poland. Has to recover for 24 hours.

Hey Tom, in the US, if you see an interstate with a 3 digit number, it means it is usually a loop for a 2 digit interstate in a metro area. 494 is a loop to divert around Minneapolis, as is 694, for the primary interstate of 94. Look at any major metro in the US and you'll notice it everywhere.

‘There will be no skips or cuts in this video’… cuts out 24 hours after a few seconds! 😂 I absolutely love this channel and the magnificent Tom Davies! ❤

Nothing gets me riled up more than spotting it before Tom. Shouting at the screen like a madman!

Tom, you can use the checkpoint feature in geoguessr if you want to save a good spot. This way, you dont have to go back all the way to look for signs you saw previously and you can be faster on your speedruns.

the beginning of the video was hilarous to me, seeing this guy in the grass I thought to myself "oh no, this might be Poland" and it actually being Poland as well as the text "the following day" a couple of seconds later (meaning that this sight of Poland broke you for that day) absolutely killed me XD

How did the sunbathing guy know the Google car would come by ? Also he was out in a field in the middle of nowhere. So peculiar ! Great Geoguesser content, love these.

This was one of the best episodes of Geoguessr in a while, i think Tom enjoyed playing and that was what made it so nice to watch!

These are so much harder to watch when you live in a place he is looking. As you panned around Minnesota I was internally screaming “Bloomington” public schools!!! Great episode as always.

It's so cool when geoguesser goes to your hometown. I grew up in Richfield, (another suburb of Minneapolis) so I see those roads and buildings every day. Great job finding it, Tom!

This comment will probably end up being unread and such, but I still wanted to write it 🙂

I randomly stumbled across your channel last year or so when some twitch streamer was playing Geoguessr and showed one of your videos. I've since subbed, watched all new uploads and bingewatched all "mission" videos (straight line mission, etc.). Nowadays I eagerly await the next episode of the USA trip and even if it releases late at night I'll still bingewatch it despite work early the next morning. Your way of editing and more importantly narrating these videos is absolutely fantastic and makes them really unique and special to me. You truly have a gift! Thanks!

Hey Tom,

For the north of Spain, it's easy to tell what region you're in by the language. Northwest (near Portugal) many signs will be in Galician which resembles Portuguese (words and sounds like o/os, ao, inxao), in central northern Spain it will be in Spanish, and in the Northeast it will be in basque which uses more k, sk, and eu sounds. It's a niche tip but hope this helps if you ever have another northern Spain round!

Nice to see the old format back. Looking forward to more content like this.

At 14:45, when you were about to read the pole, but then decided to not "look around" too much, you really should have 😄 The pole itself said "Galicia" on the top...

Great game!

Hey Tom,

little tip on US interstates. All interstates with 3 digit numbers are spur routes of the 2 digit main interstates and usually located in and around urban areas. You can tell what the main interstate is because the last 2 numbers are the same as the primary interstate. In the Minnesota round for example I-494 is an auxiliary of I-94. Once you found I-94 you know that 494 is going to be nearby and likely in a large city which could have helped you find it in Minneapolis quicker.

Hope this tip helps, thanks for the great content as always!

I live super close to the second round in Minnesota and have literally driven on those roads, love the content ❤

Trying to find a main road in Galicia is some tough business, Tom. Cheers from Spain!
