Another tip for pet food, my local pet shop has discounts on damaged pallets, there’s usually nothing wrong with the quality itself. Just the pallet or the bag is a bit banged up, you can save a lot of money

They’re right about the cheese. I bought cheese from the dollar store once and that was a huge mistake. I had used it to make a pizza. Once it was done, the cheese didn’t melt at all...

i always buy my batteries at dollar tree and have never had any issues. i actually had batteries in an alarm clock for 5 years and that clock kept perfect time. and if you are single.. those small packages for a dollar are just great. and i buy red baron pizzas at dollar tree, sure some of the canned stuff is more than at the store and a lot of it is a lot less. i can buy a can of Campbelsl soup for a buck or 1.89 at my grocery store. kids toys... kids are going to pay as much attention to a 50 dollar toy as they are a dollar toy. i can buy bread for a dollar that i would pay 5 bucks for at the grocery store! i think most people that shop at dollar tree or any dollar store also shop at a grocery store and know about prices. some of us are really smart and we save LOTS of money shopping at dollar tree. things i don't buy there.. pet food.. though sometimes they have my cats favorite treats that i would otherwise pay 199 for .. same exact thing, same package. i buy tons of books from dollar tree as well. i used to be in a book club and sometimes paid 20 bucks and more for a book that i later saw at dollar tree for a buck. and anything that is crappy they will let you get something else. sure everything isn't the best. neither is everything the best in any store you shop. you have to pay attention and shop smart. a lot of the stuff is just overstock that they buy and sell much cheaper. i always shop dollar tree first.

My DollarTree has good quality binders and notebooks. I’ve gotten art and school supplies from there that were just as good, if not better than what I got from other stores. It’s a hit or miss situation.

I don't think it's a good idea to buy cosmetic items from the dollar store either, you never know if it's legit or a knockoff that can cause irritations!
