Phenomenology: A Crash Course on Selecting the Right Phenomenological Approach

The course introduces basic concepts of phenomenology and explains how researchers can use different strategies to collect rich data, analyze it, and use the information to address their research questions. The course covers the two main types of phenomenology - transcendental and interpretative. Transcendental phenomenology was introduced by German philosopher Husserl, who believed that experience happens when the subject directs their attention to the object and the object reveals its nature to the subject. The goal of phenomenology is to attain the essence of the experience or the underlying meaning of the experience. This course teaches how to construct the purpose of the study, research questions, and data collection and analysis strategies using phenomenological approaches.

I was thinking TP but I don’t know if it would be useful since I don’t want triangulation with other genders. I want to understand the black male experience with black male students.
