Para 3 is probably my favorite knife too. I have carried the maximite one for years now. Im looking forward to getting the new yellow light weight in magnacut hopefully soon

I originally like you thought that the PM2 and the PM3 was fugly. But after you hold one, it becomes clear as day. Phenomenal egos and all around knife. Never leave home without one. Susie is coming out with a pre order salt in Magnacut light weight. I plan to Frankenstein one of my Pm3’s and switch out the Magnacut blade onto a regular Pm3. 😀

I like the Para 3 Lightweight better than the regular Para 3. I have the Lightweight in magnacut. Very comfortable EDC.

being the smallest of the paramilitary line, the para 3 lw just makes sense to me. if im gonna have a small knife, i want it to be as portable as possible too. im sure many disagree but like i said, it just works in my head better that way

I've been carrying a Para 3 heavy for years and I love it. I just bought a magnacut Para 3 Light Salt for a SCUBA knife, but I already know it'll also be a go-to whenever I'm wearing shorts or light pants and the other Para 3 would be too heavy.

They do make scales to upgrade the LW now. AWT has some I believe

I think the reason the bugout is so customizable is becuase the stock handle scales suck. Being able to squeeze them together so that they touch is daily easy. It doesn’t feel sturdy in your hand. All the aftermarket scales are made of more sturdy material to address this. Para 3 lw doesn’t have this issue and thus no after market scales. I have no real complaints. I think the scales are designed much better than the bugout.

I'm a proud owner of a para 3lw 15v. It's definitely different than my Benchmades ive been carrying. I really like the compression locks too, but no linners?

I was thinking about getting a Lightweight and swapping the scales with some titanium ones since it's cheaper than a stock Para 3.
Only thing I'm not sure about is the difference in blade steel.

I prefer the Sage 5 to the Para 3. Thumb ramp is not so high and feels better when choking up to me. The CF scales look nice too. Clip on the Para3 is the classic crap clip I hate. I replace all of them with deep carry Ti clips. Hello Spyderco! Wire deep carry clips are perfect for me. Great video!

how did you make the lightweight drop shut? even my S110V para 3 isnt that smooth, did you loosen the pivot screw?
