Politics aside, I do believe Bush Sr. to be a much more principled man than Jr. I didn't care for many of his policies, however, given a chance I would have traded Jr. out for Sr. during Jr.'s eight years. Sr. actually knew what it was to be involved in a war. I'll watch the documentary even though the preview seems grandiose when it's been explained that Mr. Bush is a private.. will not toot his own horn type of gentleman.

I for one was a lot more conservative than George H.W. Bush, but I could not help but respect him as a statesman. He was really the last of the old guard, the last of Cold Warriors. It's too easy to trivialize and forget what he's seen in the course of his life. A documentary about him should be well worth watching.

Yeah....of the Bush clan GHW was the best indeed....the patriarch and carried a bit of honor to himself. He had some rotten skeletons in his closet of which I consider disgraceful but the man himself has earned a place in history....and hey, at least he served!! Hats off.
