It's not difficult to prove that the maximum heights are in the inverse ratio of the standard deviations, so the Y curve is two thirds the greatest height of the X curve.

at 8:09, u mention that the y axis is frequency density, but is it not probability density?

will that formula be in formula book for edexcel

for the first normal distribution, you minus and added 3
for the second normal distribution, you added 4.5
why 4.5? and why did you minus and add from the 3rd standard deviation?

when typing in the calculator of normal pd to find the height of the curve, why is x equal to the mean?

Do we need to memorise the formula? Is it required for edexcel? Will we ever be expected to use this formula in our answers?

If I take X and transform it by X - mu, surely that is a translation to the right by mu, so why does it translate it to the left to 0?

im confused how did you get 4.5 to take away?
