Yeah, those lighthouses and farm houses are known to leave indentations in dense woods, radiation, singe trees, have strange markings, dart off vertically and so forth. Who doesn't know that. Like, duh.

When i was a teenager in East Anglia in the Eighties, we used to go into the woods and get pissed too. As for aliens visiting Suffolk, no. no outsider has successfully visited Suffolk since the 9th century.

The lighthouse has a hard wall facing inland so the light can never actually be in line of sight of the air base.

maybe a lot of people think this is ridiculous but whether it was aliens or not the event was sure mysterious and those officers probably weren't laughing about the matter, being a potential breach in a restricted space they were responsible for.

The folks that Mark simply calls "guards" were in fact USAF Security Policemen (or SPs back in those days), a highly trained group of professionals in charge of Law Enforcement- & Security Operations on USAF bases around the globe. Beside regular police duties, including criminal investigations and Emergency Services (SWAT), their tasks entail nuclear security for ICBMs and all other critical USAF assets (including Air Force One, space assets, etc.) and -personnel. I'm just emphasizing this because these facts add much more credibility to their reports than personnel that pull guard duty from time to time and have in fact other jobs in the Air Force. SPs are excellent trained observers and see more aircraft in their professional lifes than many other airmen in different career fields outside of aviation related jobs.

I was at RAF Lakenheath when these events occurred. I knew Col. Hall fairly well in the cadre of we USAF Officers in the area. Solid and sane as they come and not subject to panic or fear. I have no idea or comment about the events but I do know I trust Hall's account. What they saw was certainly of Terrestrial origin. But they saw something Unidentified, to them, at the time. Okay. The story that I am about to tell was posted by me some years ago on another Youtube UFO video. Before I get to it, may I say, that while I am willing to see both sides of the extraterrestrial debate, I am not a follower of either side — choosing an open mind. So, here we go. It was around the late 1950's early 1960's. I was a young man about 18 years old. One day, my grandmother, who was a tough old biddy, came visiting our home. She was all bright eyed and gushing with a strange experience that had happened to her. Now Gran was in her mid 80's, lived on her own, smoked 20 full strength a day, and more often than not, downed a bottle of QC wine in the time it took her to smoke her cigarettes. She took snuff, and if cold put another skirt on top of the one she was wearing — some times she would make an appearance with three skirts on. She rarely took off her black overcoat, or her jolly-jack tar hat with false fruit on it. She wore a genuine fox fur around her neck and never went out without her ducks head umbrella. (In fact, I'm sure she was the role model for 'Grandma' in the 'Giles' newspaper cartoon) She had little time for the modern day or its newspapers. She didn't have a tv or even a radio. So what she had to say made it all the more intriguing. We live just outside the City of Preston in northwestern England/UK. Bearing in mind that within a few miles there were three English Electric Aviation manufacturing plants (EE became BAC then is known today as BAE Systems). Well gran had been for a walk out in the countryside in an area that she knew well from her childhood. Brimming with excitement, she told my mother and me that she had been walking alone down a country lane in mid afternoon when she looked over a hedge into a field and looked upon a beautiful aeroplane. She said it was shiny silver all over. That it had flashing lights along its side. She said it didn't seem to have any wings or a propellor. That it had landed in the middle of the field amongst a herd of cows. She said she saw two or three of the crew in what looked like grey coveralls milling about among the cattle. She had not been sure if she had been seen by the 'men'. From some distance, one of them had seemed to be looking her way, because they all rushed back into the aeroplane and soon afterwards it whooshed up vertically at great speed without making any noise, and soon disappeared out of her sight. It had been a lovely sunny day with fleecy white clouds. Full of wonderment, she asked me if it could have been one of them new-fangled jets that flew around the local skies from English Electric (Canberra Bomber and Lightning Interceptor). I replied, 'I don't think so, Gran, ' and left it at that. I'd no reason to disbelieve old gran. She was not one for telling tall stories or bending the truth. Old Biddy she might have been, but after having a cataract operation, she probably had better vision than I had. What made her story more interesting was that some days later there were a number of reports throughout the UK of local farmers reporting that some of their cows were missing. The authorities, bless 'em' put it down to modern day rustlers. So, that is the only time that I have spoken to someone who saw a UFO at first hand — and to think it was my old gran. And, she didn't even know what it was that she had been looking at — and on that note, she no doubt, truly, saw an 'Unidentified Flying Object'. Extraterrestrial or not.
