In America, getting less than $1000 a month can easily lead to homelessness.

In Vietnam the average monthly income is $253.27 USD... so every month those people are also struggling...

This is an old clip, most schools in Vietnam offer between $1500-$2000 a month. Rent and food is dirt cheap and you end up saving most of the money. Also, finding a decent girlfriend is way way easier. Basically every school I worked for had at least 1 girl interested in me (and I am average at best). You actually have the opportunity to live a balanced life.

People might think its as easy as going to the store but its not, you either work to death as a minimum wage slave or starve to death

It's not about what you earn, it's about what you keep!

Real talk. I have a few close friends that are able to live pretty freely, and I'm thankfully able to go out and buy what I want without worry, but I have family members and acquaintances that are living paycheck to paycheck and having to budget their next check before they get it.

I’m making 1800$ a month and barely living. But I am going to school full time to get my bachelors in cyber security and my associates in IT.

As soon as I’m eligible for my social security I’m on my way.

My mom travels the world. Says traveling is way cheaper then living in the US. Stayed in some small town in somewhere in Asia for 3 months. She said keeping a roof over her head cost her $1k and it had all she needed.

I live nicely on 2000$, watching my savings account grow nice and chubbier every month, health insurance that actually works, friendly and smiling faces everywhere, the snakes and scorpions are just fun to meet, let's you know you're still young enough to jump like a cat 😅 it is definitely not for everyone, it takes some getting used to the whole thing of a different culture, but if you have an open mind amd the will, anything is possible, you can live among your own people or you can do it the real way and have an even better experience no matter where you go.
I wish you the best of everything in your choices 🙏🇹🇭🥳🇹🇭🙏

It’s funny how people use to come to America for buisness opportunities and now it’s the opposite

I make over $100k/yr (CAD), but fall behind every month due to high alimony, which ends this year, thank God. After that, I work off a small debt (65k), and then start planning my retirement abroad because my RRSP (like a 401k) survived in tact through the divorce (she got the house). So now life can be one of reasonable comfort elsewhere. Here in BC it would mean working for the rest of my life.

There's really an easy fix for this .
But I doubt most people here are ready to talk about it.

And it's largely thanks to the overwhelming power we give our clearly corrupt government

We all confuse personalities with livinghood. Greed runs the world and world is full of cemeteries. So choose wisely lifestyle and treat money as survival mode not as assets. Eating once a week never kills anyone. Walking and reading never ruin anyone. Just say NO to everyone and everything and you will live peacefully until you die...if alone then do it alone. Life means nothing and values are not for sale

I had a coworker who was from Mexico tell me this and she was a older sweetheart. She said, “ you can get rich here. But, you work harder than you ever had before to just to get it. I go back to Mexico and people think I just got money for free. You sell your life in America to get money. It’s not like work in Mexico”.
