This week’s cover song - ‘Four Strong Winds’, as requested. This song was perhaps most famously covered by Neil Young on his 1978 album ‘Comes a Time’ but I decided to base my version on Ian Tyson’s version as he wrote the song. It was originally recorded in 1969 by Ian and his wife Sylvia when they were in the folk duo Ian and Sylvia. It is known to be one of the most quintessential Canadian folk songs of all time and was significant in the folk revival of the 1960s. It is about a failing romance and has been covered by many famous folk musicians such Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Marianne Faithful, Johnny Cash, Judy Collins, the Carter Family, John Denver and, of course, Neil Young. Ian re-recorded the track in 1989 for his solo album ‘I Outgrew the Wagon’. It has a more of a rocky, 80s production. I hope you like my cover! 😊

I fell in love with that song a long time ago beautifully done. Your finger picking is great . Please do more . I'm old but good music is timeless.
