I am SO GLAD this is the topic. HPV is spoken about as if women are the only ones affected. My rhetorical question is, where do you think they got it A lot of "female problems" (e.g. cervical and ovarian cancers) are introduced by men who are infected with HPV. Its about time someone talks about this.

I'm so happy you are doing this'll. I got HPV from my partner. My FIRST partner. We used a condom and everything, BUT he did the condom was not the right side flip. So I had no idea. I was in my 20's. It never really cleared for me. It really complicated my life. I didn't get the vaccine until last year and I would have gotten it way sooner, but my doctor at the time told me, it doesn't make a difference you already have it. (Male doctor)
Luckily a female doctor told me that I can still get it, so I got it.

Question: I’ve had a hysterectomy and I have no cervix. I have 2 kids that are grown now. I’ve always had paps and never had a problem. In 2020 I had an abnormal pap and had a lesion removed from my vaginal wall at the cancer center. I didn’t even know what HPV was. I had heard of genital warts but I’ve never seen them. I’ve been married for 24 years and never been with anyone else. I did read that a hysterectomy can trigger dormant HPV and I had mine in 2019. Is this true or did my husband of 24 years step out on me and give me this. I’m still having bad paps and have to go every 2 months. The surgery didn’t work and I don’t even have a cervix. If my next pap in 2 weeks is bad I have to have the surgery again. It’s driving me crazy. He’s mad because I haven’t let him touch me since 2020 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just can’t do it
